What does the "D.O." behind your name mean?
- The initials "D.O." stands for Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.
As an osteopathic physician, my medical education and training
have included all that an M.D. is required to obtain, plus
an additional thousand hours of training in the treatment of
the musculoskeletal system. The D.O. behind my name rather than
M.D. allows a pateint to know that I have completed this
additional training.
What training does Dr. Erskine have?
- Board Certified, American Osteopathic Board of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine 2005-2015
- Graduate Dynamis School Of Homeopathy 2004
- Board Certified to the Highest National Standards of the
American Academy of Family Physicians.
- Board Certified by the American Academy of HIV Medicine, 2002-2005.
- Community Hospital of Sonoma County (UCSF affiliated)
internship and residency in Family Practice 1989-1992.
- College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific 1985-1989
- University of Virginia 1983-1985
- Worked with Bernie Segal, M.D. author of Love, Medicine,
and Miracles
- Volunteer with Mother Theresa's misson in Calcutta India
What do I bring to my first appointment?
- Please make sure to bring your insurance card or billing
information if you have a work injury, any required forms
provided, prior X-rays if availible. Please Be prepared to make a
co-payment required, or payment in full if you are not
insured.
What should I do if I need a refill on my prescription?
- Please call your pharmacy to obtain refills. They will fax us
for confirmation.
- Prescriptions are confirmed by our office from 9:00 am. to
5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday, except Wednesday.
- No Prescriptons will be refilled on weekends, so please plan
ahead.
What about billing?
- As a convenience to you ,we will bill your insurance company
and collect from them.
- Any portion not covered by your insurance will be billed to
you. Your insurance plan and benefits are between you and your
insurance company and you are ultimatly responsible for the
bill.
